Nobody Saw Coming.
Bad Kid Bear grew up on the wrong side of Reckless Park — the part where the pavement was cracked and the lights flickered. While other kids had lessons, coaches, and the right equipment, Bear had a hand-me-down skateboard and YouTube videos he'd watch on a cracked phone screen.
They said he was too rough around the edges. Too wild. Too much.
So he got better. Quietly. Relentlessly.
One day he showed up at the main park — nobody invited him, nobody welcomed him. He didn't wait for either. By the end of the day, the older kids who'd been there for years were watching him land tricks they'd been trying for months.
